The reason I chose to study Graphics for Games at The University of Bradford is because of my passion for video games. Ever since I was young I knew I wanted to study and work in a field I enjoyed. I would never be able to sit down in a boring office job 9 till 5 everyday for my whole life. The only problem I had was I didn't have anything that I was particularly interested in, especially something I could work a steady job with. Then I started to play video games a few years ago and that changed. Ever since then games have helped me through some very tough times, I've used them as a means to escape, for support, to bring me joy and countless other things. I know for certain that if it wasn't for games I wouldn't be the person I am today and I wouldn't of met some of the amazing people I have. I want to give back to the community and I feel that this is my main motivation.
I am also very interested in different cultures and backgrounds which I would love to research and spread among a wider audience using games. I feel that my interest in this and with others misconceptions about cultures makes me want to create content that is enjoyable but educational and eye opening. I think this is another part of my motivation as it is something I would love to accomplish in the future.
