Here is the final animation of my grandfather clock that I have been modelling over this semester. When I done the final render I created an ambient layer and rendered that in Arnold so the clock looked more realistic. I then put this into after effects and turned it into a multiply layer.
Overall I am very pleased with my final animation as I had no prior experience with Maya or any other modelling and animation software. The model turned out to look very similar, but not exact, to the reference picture I was using. Because of this I feel that my animation and model were very successful.

Test Animation
I animated the first half of my animation and rendered it so I could see what it looks like when completed. I however did not animate it with the textures and lights. Overall I am pleased with the animation so far as it is well paced and runs smoothly.

Animation Plan
For my animation I have chosen to make my clock move in a organic way. To do this I am going to make it look around and do a short walk. I want to create the idea that the clock is confused and unsure how to walk. I'm going to do this by making it walk slowly at first and then speed up.
1. Clock looks around - side to side and then up and down
2. Looks back down towards one foot and then lifts it
3. Head snaps back into original position out of shock
4. Looks back down and lifts opposite back foot
5. Slowly starts to walk forward
6. Stops walking
7. Looks back up and starts to shake head
8. Does a small nod and starts to walk again
9. Speeds up walking
10. Stops walking
11. End of animation

Lighting Edit
I edited the lighting so more of the detail in the clock can be seen, This change makes the clock look more professional and realistic. I'm very happy with how the clock has turned out as it looks similar to the reference picture.
Lighting
I added three spot lights around the clock to make it much easier to see. The texturing and detail is much more visible now but I might edit the brightness of the lights to make it even lighter and clearer.
Texturing
I added a wooden texture to the main body of the clock. Along with this I added a glass texture to the bottom door and a clock face to the top. Overall I am very happy with the texturing as the clock looks very realistic and quite similar to my original picture I was using as a reference. However the texturing is very hard to see as I need to add lighting.

Completion of Rig
I completed my rig by adding in control curves at all the joints so I can now animate the clock. I also added in IK handles on the feet so it will be able to walk and move.
